Richard Lovelace (1618-57) was a Cavalier poet and nobleman who wrote To Althea, From Prison and Lucasta. Stylised peonies and quite dense foliage are painted in a manner which is somewhat naïve and oriental in style; printed on cotton in colourways of pink and green, coral, red and dove, aqua and charcoal, lilac and jade, and blue and chocolate.Colourways
